Up to this week I have done well I achieving -

  • Diet
  • training consistency
  • Step counts
  • Recovery

On Friday the 13th I underwent a minor knee operation. I now have to recover whilst trying to maintain my diet and exercise which is proving to be a challenge.

Moving forward

-Its going to take a strong mindset and some exercise adaptation to progress further.

But lets crack on

dropped the 7lb that i gained over xmas. Feeling a lot less bloated too and generally more healthy.

ive been pushing my self at the gym with progressive overload, new personal best for dumbell chest press 2x 28kg dumbells wich im buzzing with even more then losing the xmas podge

I always drink lots and have an active job so steps and hydration are part of my normal routine. Nutrition can be where I struggle asim just so lazy with cooking and fussy and tend to grab protien bars, cereal and protien yoghurt and call it a propper meal. I downloaded a new tracking app last week im finding it more helpful then my fitness pal and have eaten like an actual adul this week with lots of fruit and veg and real food. 2lb of my weight lost has been this week since eating better. (The Nutrition week challenge helped push me to work on this as i knew my food choices where too rubbish to share )

Hope every one is doing well, im really grateful for every one who uses this page as I love reading all your posts. It always helps me get through my liss cardio Too

Key Wins So Far

What’s gone well over the last few weeks?

  • Wins you’re proud of: 5k pb, consistently doing 12pm steps everyday even with this weather, introduced 3x strength workouts in the gym per week consistently despite doing no strength workouts before!

  • Mindset or habit improvements: love getting gym work done, early morning gym sessions, 12k steps non negotiable

Progress Check

  • Steps:

    • >12k steps everyday since start of challenge
  • Nutrition / Macros:

    • Are you tracking accurately and consistently? Did 2 weeks disciplined only.

    • Any meals/times that tend to throw you off? Evenings, during work time.

  • Training:

    • Are you completing your programmed sessions? yes

    • Energy levels during workouts? Good now not tracking.

  • Recovery

    • Are you prioritising recovery? (Sleep, hydration, rest) If not, what steps do you need to take to recover properly? Hydration could be better, only one rest day per week. Need to make sure I’m resting

What Needs Tweaking?

What’s one or two things you could improve that would make the biggest difference over the next 6 weeks?

Examples:

  • Planning meals everyday even if I fail.

  • Filling water bottle up each morning.

  • Setting intentions for day in morning

  • discuss calorie requirements with coach and take it one day at a time with nutrition.

Key Wins So Far

What’s gone well over the last few weeks?

  • After losing over 100lbs last year and hitting a stall I can see a real difference in body now even with the small 4.4kg loss in the 6 weeks!

  • Routine is really nailed down now and noticing sleeping a lot better

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Progress Check

  • Steps:

    • Hitting them daily - which was always a struggle before :flexed_biceps:
  • Nutrition / Macros:

    • Tracking consistently daily
  • Training:

    • 1 week off as was ill with flu but training 3x a week in gym and 3 runs a week!
  • Recovery

    • A lot more settled now in a routine

:wrench: What Needs Tweaking?

What’s one or two things you could improve that would make the biggest difference over the next 6 weeks?

Getting to bed earlier

Little more strict with nutrition

:bullseye: Clear Goal for the Next 6 Weeks

Be specific and realistic.

My main focus for the next 6 weeks is:

To keep consistent and push a little harder in the gym! Overall chuffed with the weight loss and the inches lost - can see the difference!
