Hi folks,
Mark, 40, from Northern Ireland (insta: marklovesagrunt).
Ive been training for over 25 years but have always had a terrible diet. Gained a lot of puppy fat in my teenage years and never ever lost it. This will probably be my 100th attempt to lose fat and get in some sort of shape - im usually good for about 2 weeks and then fall off the bandwagon.
Decided to join this challenge in the intermediate group as I gym 3 times a week. Work full time and have a wee boy who i dont let anything interfere with my time with, so im sort of limited to about 4 hours of gym per week and i train either late at night or early early morning so Im always available at home.
Hoping the little competition on here (and the potential prize!) Is a bit more of a motivation factor for me.
Pics will be up later in the week as I move house on challenge day 1 so lifes a little upside down at the minute.
Good luck everyone, looking forward to seeing everyone do amazingly!
Allright mark just read your post all the best buddy hope u can get over the two weeks with transform and help one another with motivation etc. Don’t think we are in the same group as we are beginners with joey m8
Whoops, didnt realise this was in beginners group! Sorry!
Hello all
I’m Ken, from South Shields. We have just got back from Center Parcs so I am starting proper today.
I work at sea, and will be going to sea for 3 months(ish) at the end of the month.
I’ve got an alarm set for 0430 tomorrow so I can get a workout in.
I hope you’re all doing good.
Do you have a gym out on the rig?
I work on Container Ships. We have a fairly decent gym, I spent quite a bit of time getting it sorted.
The ship likes to roll, and last trip we were constantly in bad weather.
The worst thing on board is the food. I have zero control over it. So I tend to take a meal replacement shake with me.
How’s it going for you?
Hey Ken, let’s make sure when you come back to land you’ll be looking a different man

Let’s go Mikey! Are we all set for a big 12 weeks?
Manchester myself! Which gym do you train at? ![]()
As ready as were gonna be haha all about being consistent
I do have a road trip to belgium i think week 10 so that’s gonna be a challenge to stay on track
I like a good road trip. I’d love to do a European road trip, but with 4 kids, the Mrs keeps me on a tight leash! Where are you going? What are you driving?
I’ll be flying out to Singapore to join ship around 1st Feb and will be home May sometime.
Going in this old girl
heading to a place called ninove the locals all move their cars out of town and 1000+ classic vws line the streets then were doing 3 days at the zoo as its massive so will definitely get steps in
That’s a thing of beauty! I’m properly into my classics.
Do you get across to the Motorist at all? It’s a brilliant car venue, with regular themes.
My play car is a 1999 XK8, so any road trips I go on tend to be Jaguar meets. Usually down to the British Motor Museum
Have a mk2 gti as our daily too
yeah go motorist alot were only 20ish mins away from it! Do love a good jag though
Oh I love a Mk2 GTI!
I’m up in South Shields, but am always up for a visit to the Motorist. It’s only a couple of hours down the road. I think their German vs French day is May. Give me a shout if you’re heading there and I’ll pop down.
