Hey Lauren just a few things
In regards to electrolites when and why should I be taking these? Also creatine
I am a fussy eater so I am struggling and not always hitting my protein
However I am doing well tracking my food and making sure I don’t go over
I don’t eat salad I only eat bananas so I can’t just have a chicken salad can you recommend anything?
Hope you’ve had a good week
Hey Hayleigh,
So creatine I’d reccomend taking daily. It’s the most researched supplement with so many benefits. Improving performance, helping with recovery, strength, cognitive function and much more. You can take this at anytime, I personally take mine at the same time each day so it becomes habit.
Electrolytes I personally take one per day, this isn’t essential. However I would recommend on days you sweat more so if you sweat a lot during training or you utilise a sauna etc.
Try tracking the day before so you know you’re pre planned. It’s fine that you’re a fussy eater, this just means the easiest way to boost your protein is to consume more of what you’re having. For example if you’re having 150g chicken, you could increase to 200g. If you’re having 1 scoop of whey then you could increase to 2. Keep it simple, keep it repetitive whilst you’re new to this and don’t overthink it.
To help make sure you are consuming micronutrients plan meals with fruit & veg that you do like. I don’t personally eat salads and I don’t want you to feel you have to eat things you don’t like. To get fibre in I add veg in to my meals, or fruit. Berries are a lower calorie option when it comes to fruit so I tend to go for this in a dieting phase.
I hope this helps! Xx
