Hi everyone, my scales have budged at last, not a huge amount but I’ll take it
The non scale victories are pushing me on. I’ve been back in my favourite jeans this week and can see the start of a waist line appearing when I look in the mirror
This is all fab but I have an old shoulder injury which is grumbling at the moment, so focusing on lower body/glutes and a couple of Pilates classes until it eases up.
The only workout you will regret is the one you didn’t do, I was told this some time ago and it’s so very true.
Glad to hear you are making good progress & seeing the results, “Trust the process” as they say.
I’m getting on well dropped 3kg since I started but I’m also taking 1g of creatine per 10kg of body weight so not expecting any drastic weight loss. I had about 4weeks off from training around Xmas & noticed I had lost a lot of strength but that is coming back now & hope to hit some PBs in the next few weeks
Amazing wins both of you sounds like you’re doing incredible
The scales to me are my worst enemy I fluctuate so much but then my fluid intake differs everyday and so does my food, although I weigh myself in the morning first thing it still fluctuates haha!! But like you Fitzy, I’m taking my creatine but your 3kg is good
Hey guys finally getting back in the game here my husband was rushed for emergency surgery last Friday and only got discharged yesterday so things have been crazy over here well done to you all
my training has been zero this past week and eating a bit hit and miss, grabbing what I can when I can I’ve managed to keep up with my water though, the cherry raspberry flavour hydrate is amazing
back at it full steam ahead now though and taking that as a win that I’m not throwing in the towel
Hey girls- sounds like you’re all doing amazing, how is it almost week 4 already!!! Absolutely loving my daily walks & the workouts now and the aching has defo improved since starting! I’m 4.5kg down after 3 weeks weight wise but mentally feeling incredible, I’m sleeping loads better- chuffed!
Hey everyone! Its been inspiring to see so many of you pushing your limits and supporting each other along the way! Weather its been small victories or big changes, every step counts
Hi Lauren, I’m enjoying the workouts. I’ve been feeling hungry at the weekend. Is it possible for me to gain muscle whilst being in a calorie deficit? Thanks
Yes muscle growth in a deficit is possible if you’re a beginner to strength training, or not trained for a long period of time and getting back in to it.
Could you be hungrier at weekends because you have more free time to think about food? Sometimes being busy through the week distracts us and when weekends come the urge to eat more
I’d organise your week in advance, maybe track to allow a treat of a weekend to keep things more exciting and sustainable! I always reccomend my clients get up and train or go on a walk first thing on a weekend if possible because it helps with mindset and making better choices throughout the day! X
