The 10k step challenge

The 10k step challenge is here, so interested in what you will do differently to achieve it?

Work in a hospital so at lunch, I’ll have a couple of walks around the site and a good excuse to see daylight (my room doesn’t have windows )

Will push myself to walk to work two days this week, something never done but open to pushing out of my usual boundaries during this challenge.

The good old walking pad came in handy this evening, watching the usual evening TV, instead of sat on the sofa was getting some extra steps in!

Mondays are easy as five-a-side football gets the steps in, but having an office job, I struggle with the 10K a day, so to hit it if I go to a supermarket in the morning or lunch, I walk up and down every single aisle :joy: instead of just the ones I need to, then treadmill down the gym on training days and if I still haven’t hit it walk round the streets around home in the evening.

Everyday can be a bit hard as now more desk based rather than working on vans, but I just make sure I clearly forgot my water bottle when I go get water hahaha and every time I use the printer its the one furthest away and I don’t bulk print. Also taking the long way round to get the kids from school helps. Then hopefully just 500ish after dinner.

Great tips and ideas guys! Especially if your in an office job, in our office we like to go on a 20 minute walk all together on our dinner to get our steps in and get some fresh air :raised_hands:

No window in your office :scream:
Well then, the 10,000 step challenge is definitely a good excuse to get some fresh air
